There’s little reason to hate AI for its productivity gains.
But there’s lots to hate about a system that’s captured a majority of the wealth at the top at the expense of everyone else, draining social mobility along the way.
AI isn’t a wise master - it does what we tell it to do. Humans are the ones who made the decisions that led to today’s issues. Human decisions will continue to drive what AI does.
So it’s no wonder nobody has any faith in the promise of AI prosperity. Our lived experience over decades has told us otherwise.
As they say, fool me once - shame on you.
Fool me twice?
Hopefully there won’t be another chance ✌️
Best,
