Our beliefs define what we choose to do, what policies we support, what kind of world we choose to live in. Which is why it’s so important to examine hidden assumptions buried deep in our narratives, culture, and the way we’ve always done things.

Otherwise, AI accelerates everything along the path we’re on: greater wealth inequality, less democratic institutions, deepening legislative capture, less social mobility, greater social divides and polarization. AI could deliver so much good as well - but only if we build the future with eyes wide open about the challenges.

I mostly focus on America. My essays span business, economy, technology, society, politics, building products with AI - but anything goes.
